Environmental study for authorization of vegetation suppression (Autorização de Supressão de Vegetação – ASV); execution of fauna rescue and scaring methods and flora reintroduction; and, approval of the legal reserve area´s site of leased properties linked to three Wind Power Parks called the Fontes dos Ventos (PE) and Modelo I and II (RN), composed of 100 wind turbine generators located in Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco and Bahia states.
The measures used to wild animals’ protection were: chasing wild animals away; emergency veterinary services for debilitated animals; and animals’ translocation to similar areas. For vegetation, rescue procedures of endangered, endemic and commercial species were adopted to safeguard the genetic stocks of them, and for epiphytic habit species, reintroduction services were carried out.
The good results obtained in the development of the works provided STCP with new work opportunities with the ENEL group in 2014 and 2015, with services linked to a third wind power project: Serra Azul Wind Power Park (BA) where more than 50 wind turbine generators were installed.
Follow-up of vegetation suppression by rescue teams (PE).
Some animals rescued and translocated in the Wind Power Parks Fontes dos Ventos (PE) and Modelo I and II (RN): Crotalus durissus (Rattlesnake), Euphractus sexcinctus (Tatu-peba).
Flora rescue in the Wind Power Parks Fontes dos Ventos (PE) and Modelo I and II (RN): Fruits of Pithecellobium diversifolium Benth (Madras thorn).
Basic Environmental Plan (PBA) to meet socio-environmental conditions for obtaining Preliminary License (LP) of the Bom Jesus da Lapa and Xique-Xique Solar Parks, located in the municipalities of the same name in Bahia State, and other studies required to get Installation License (LI), including Vegetation Suppression Authorization (ASV) and Authorization for Fauna Capture, Collection and Transport (ARTA). These Solar Photovoltaic Power Projects, located in the region of Chapada Diamantina, will have a total of 65 MW of installed capacity in 168 hectares. These are pioneering projects for ENEL in Brazil related to solar energy, and consolidate the partnership between ENEL and STCP, started in 2012.
STCP was hired by COMPAGAS to prepare the Management Plan for the Serra da Baitaca State Park, located between the municipalities of Quatro Barras and Piraquara, in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, with a total area of 3,053.21 hectares. Created in 2002 by SEMA / IAP.
Located in a transition area between the Dense Ombrophilous Forest and Mixed Ombrophilous Forest, the region belongs to the mountain range of the Serra do Mar, with the highlight being the Morro do Anhangava, 1,425 meters high. A differential in the Management Plan´s technical team was the requirement of a professional with mountaineering experience, rappel and climbing techniques, to support the diagnosis and development of specific programs in the area that has ecotourism potential.
Execution of technical services regarding field data collection survey of the National Forest Inventory (IFN-BR) in the Amazon Biome, using a sampling system defined by the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB), located in the State of Mato Grosso.
